Visit London promotes events on Thames

Visit London has teamed u with Silver Fleet -– Woods River Cruises to promote the River Thames in London to international and domestic event and meeting planners.

The partnership will launch a guidebook – Your Guide to Organising Events On & Around the River Thames – at the International Confex on 20–22 February.

The guide will promote event venues located along the Thames from Richmond to Greenwich, including Novotel London West, British Airways London Eye, Somerset House, Vinopolis, ExCeL London and The O2. It will also provide information on how to make the most of the river, including case studies and itineraries.

Zanine Adams, Visit London’s UK sales manager, said: “The River Guide will inspire event planners to make the most of the Thames and create events that are truly unique. A day spent along the river could start with an invigorating London RIB Voyages trip, include a spot of ice skating at Somerset House and finish with dinner aboard HMS Belfast. Even the most seasoned business traveller is guaranteed to see London from a new perspective.”

Tom Woods, managing director of Silver Fleet added: “We are delighted that an inspiring, definitive guide to entertaining on the Thames is now available."
