Tourism for All launches ‘All Are Welcome!’ Roadshow
POSTED 22 Aug 2005 . BY
Tourism for All UK, the charity for raising awareness in the tourism and hospitality industry of the needs of the disabled, has announced the launch of the ‘All Are Welcome!’ Roadshow.

Taking place around the regions, the ‘All Are Welcome!’ Roadshow will provide an opportunity for hospitality business operators to become involved and help to make Britain the most accessible destination in Europe.

The market for older and disabled visitors and their families has been dubbed the last major untapped market for tourism, with an estimated spend of £50bn a year.

London’s success with the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid has brought new marketing advantages and added value to tourism destinations which can attract an expanded market of people with disabilities and their families.

The first two ‘All Are Welcome!’ Roadshow events will be held on 15 September 2005 at Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, London at 11am-3pm and on 19 September 2005 at Metropole Hotel, Brighton, at 11am-3pm

Guest speakers for the London and Brighton events include Sir William Lawrence Bt OBE, chair of the Heart of England Tourist Board and Tourism for All UK.

Another guest speaker in Brighton will be Michael McGrath, disability champion for Hilton Hotels and a wheelchair user who has broken records in travelling to both the North and South Poles.

For further information or to request a booking form, please contact Jenny Stephenson at Tourism for All UK at [email protected] or call +44(0)1278 671863, or visit their website at www.tourismforall.org.uk
