On 23 May, all 48 of Tate Modern’s permanent collection galleries in London, UK, will be rehung – for the first time since the gallery opened in 2000 – around a new concept called UBS Openings: Tate Modern Collection.
The rehang will revolve around a central display focusing on four key periods of innovation in 20th Century art.
More than 40 per cent of the works in the new displays have not been shown at Tate Modern before and around 20 per cent will feature newly acquired and major works being displayed for the first time.
The turbine hall will be transformed into a huge cinema to celebrate the event. Details: www.tate.org.uk
