Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark is to build six new attractions as part of a multi-million dollar expansion.

The works include a Boogie Bahn surf ride, three slides, a rapids river, a whitewater tube shute, a ride-up Aqua Veyer, as well as additional attractions and guest amenities.

Keith Fontenot, general manager for Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark, said: "Attendance during our first full season exceeded our expectations. Our river tubing experience was well received by our guests.

"They asked for more and we are excited to introduce more thrilling attractions and amenities for the 2011 season."

Details about the new attractions and other elements of the plan are due be announced soon.
