West Midland Safari Park (WMSP) has opened a new £1m outdoor arena and sea lion show at its Seaquarium site in Rhyl, Wales.
Called Sea Lion Cove, the new exhibit will offer seating for 300 visitors and is home to a colony of six seals.
The Rhyl Seaquarium is one of three attractions operated by WMSP.
WMSP's managing director, Ivan Knezovich, said: “Following the rise in visitor numbers at all of our three sites, WMSP will continue to invest heavily in the leisure market.
"At West Midland Safari Park we are opening a new £500,000 educational area this year and we are on schedule to re-open Spring Grove House as a corporate, conference and business destination following a £5m refurbishment in 2010."
Knezovich added that other plans at WMSP include a hotel, conference centre and an indoor water park.
