A teenage ride operator has sustained serous injuries after falling from a rollercoaster ride at Loudoun Castle in Galton, Ayrshire, Scotland.
The 18-year-old man plunged 80 ft (24m) while carrying out repairs on the Twist and Shout ride at the Scottish theme park on Sunday (15 July).
The Scottish Ambulance Service immediately took the casualty to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, where he is in a serious condition.
Theme park director Henk Bembom said: “We are all devastated and extremely distressed and our thoughts are with our colleague and his family at this time.”
