IHG Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the Regent Phu Quoc resort in Vietnam – its first destination in South East Asia under its luxury Regent Hotels & Resorts brand.

Located off the southwest coast of Vietnam alongside a UNESCO-designated World Biosphere Reserve, the resort is home to a fresh new wellness sanctuary named the Spa at Regent Phu Quoc.

The spa’s philosophy is rooted in three pillars: high touch, high frequency and high energy. It provides a range of contemporary and traditional wellness treatments supplied by Biologique Recherche, as well as nail services at a Pedi:Mani:Cure salon, created by podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez.

Holistic wellness programmes include vibrational therapy facilitated by Gharieni Group’s Welnamis System concept bed. Gharieni is also supplying its MLX Quartz treatment tables for Egyptian-inspired hot sand therapy experiences.

To differentiate the offering, IHG has also incorporated a resident holistic wellness coach service to provide guests with personalised wellness itineraries.

Fitness enthusiasts are catered to with a health club featuring a reset meditation studio, fitness centre equipped by Technogym and rooftop yoga pavilions to recharge and rejuvenate.

“Regent Phu Quoc will surely be a brand-defining resort in Vietnam and South East Asia that will deliver a truly captivating interpretation of the Regent experience,” said Juan Losada, resort general manager.

The new Regent destination has been brought to life by luxury hospitality design firm Blink Design Group.

Situated under a canopy of palm trees, 176 suites and 126 villas echo traditional Vietnamese vernacular with contemporarily-designed interiors including a soothing colour palette.

Blink also chose to embrace and emphasise natural light to create light, airy accommodations complemented by views of landscaped gardens or panoramic ocean scenes.

At Regent Phu Quoc, guests can experience the brand’s new hallmarks, ranging from signature bath rituals conducted within guestrooms to a complementary daily breakfast buffet, pressing and laundry as well as unpacking service.
