Raison d'Etre to launch online spa management course
POSTED 31 Aug 2012 . BY Tom Walker

Sweden-based spa consultancy Raison d'Etre is to launch its first English-language spa management course in October.

The course will be conducted in six online modules – finance;
sales, PR and marketing; leadership and strategic planning; human resources; service quality management excellence; and writing a Business plan.

Anna Bjurstam, managing director of Raison d'Etre, said: "We are excited to see that we can fulfill or business objective of growing people and enhancing wellness within a sustainable and profitable framework and grateful for the opportunity to do this in so many areas.

"Our passion with increasing value for our clients, guests and course participants is paying off and it shows that living by our core values of integrity and trend-maker among others is truly rewarding."

She added that the new course comes at a time when many emerging markets are increasing their interest in spa and wellness.

"We are finding our primary markets to be Russia and its neighbors, Northern Africa and Middle East and we are seeing a huge interest in implementing wellness solution into residential projects and are working with four residential projects that all have come in during the first half of 2012," Bjurstam said.

The company's education branch launched its first online spa management course earlier this year in Swedish, having conducted class-lead courses for the past eight years.

As a company, Raison d'Etre is divided into three branches - ownership, consultancy and education. It has completed more than 100 projects in 60 different countries and is currently working on the two first Baccarat Spas to open in Morocco within the next two years. Details: www.raisondetrespas.com
