Blackpool Council and Merlin Entertainments are inviting local residents to comment on plans for a major transformation of Blackpool Tower.

The two-phase development has already started, with the first phase to include the opening up of access to the refurbished main areas of the historic attraction.

Stage one will also see the tower's observation deck reopened, which will house Blackpool Tower Eye and incorporate a 4D experience.

Blackpool Tower Dungeon and new restaurant facilities also comprise the first phase, while the second phase will see the ongoing renovation of areas such as the ballroom and circus.
