A groundbreaking ceremony has taken place at Andy Alligator's Fun Park in Oklahoma, US, to mark the start of construction work of a new waterpark due to open next May.
According to
The Norman Transcript, the attraction is investing US$4.2m (£2.7m, EUR3.1m) in the waterpark, with local contractor Strait of Aztec working on the project.
Brannon Corp and Fitzpatrick Architects, both of Tyler, Texas, are also involved as part of the scheme, with the funding provided by First Bank and Trust Co of Norman.
Park general manager Kyle Allison told the newspaper: "Oklahoma has not seen a substantial commercial water park built since the 1980s."
