Oakwood Theme Park makes Magic Memories with new ride photo systems
POSTED 02 Sep 2013 . BY Kate Corney
Guest photography provider Magic Memories has installed new in-park photo systems at Oakwood Theme Park in Wales.

It redesigned and refitted all the ride photo outlets at Oakwood.

Two new ride photo opportunities were also created on the Treetops coaster and Log Flume rides.

Cameras capture the same ride vehicle several times, letting guests choose a particular image or crop images.

All the five attractions now operating the Magic Memories ride photo system feature a kiosk incorporating the individual ride’s branding, theming and graphics.

Additionally, queue line video in each attraction has been added to entertain guests while they wait in line, helping to engage them about the photography offer as well as other park-wide offers.

Magic Memories’ ride photo solution comes as a result of the company’s acquisition in 2011 of US-based theme park imaging specialist Jackson Digital Imaging (JDI).

Magic Memories has also agreed a four year development plan with the park going forward, which will involve new rides and new photo products.

Oakwood’s general manager Dominic Jones said: "The entire infrastructure and all the ride photo stations have been completely redesigned. The finished product has been dramatically improved and our customers are showing their appreciation with average spends up over 60 per cent in June 2013 compared to the same period last year."
