Former US Open champion Jack Nicklaus is to build an 18-hole golf course near Stonehaven, in the north east of Scotland, as part of a £40m leisure complex.
The 1,500-acre Ury House estate will feature a 160-acre golf resort and hotel produced by Nicklaus Design and developed by Scottish company FM Developments.
VisitScotland area director for Aberdeen and Grampian, Ian Dunlop, said: “The involvement of a world-class golfer like Nicklaus will help us build on our strong golfing reputation.”
