A new organisation has been created to support tourism businesses in Cheshire and Warrington.
It will be officially launched on 1 April 2004 and is one of four new ‘destination management organisations’ that will take over from the North West Tourist Board.
The core aims of the new body will be to support tourism businesses, raise quality and attract more visitors to Cheshire and Warrington.
Hotelier, Mike Cooksley, who is chairing the shadow board of the new organisation, said: “With the creation of this new body, we will have the vision, commitment and ability to unlock our tourism potential as a destination and transform our performance.” Details: www.chestercc.gov.uk
