North Lees Hall in Derbyshire - the inspiration behind Mr Rochester's house in
Jane Eyre is among the new additions to this year's Heritage Open Days programme.
Due to take place on 8-11 September, historic sites to be opened to the public also feature the Aardman Animation headquarters in Bristol and Newcastle's Theatre Royal.
Full details of Heritage Open Days activities are to be released from mid-July, with around 4,000 properties normally closed or with paid admission open up for free.
