Renowned natural world broadcaster Sir David Attenborough has helped mark the launch of the refurbished dinosaur and geology galleries at Leicester's New Walk Museum.
Items from the attraction's collection of fossils have been put on display in the new galleries, which also feature objects never seen before - including a new type of sea-going plesiosaur.
Leicester City Council; Renaissance East Midlands Mubu programme; and Find Your Talent funded the project, along with the City of Leicester Museums Trust.
A £145,000 grant was also contributed by the Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund - operated by the government and the Wolfson Foundation.
