The HBOS Museum on the Mound in Edinburgh has reopened following an extensive two-year revamp.
The premises are six times larger, with 3,500sq ft (325sq m) of public space and 2,325sq ft (216sq m) of display space.
Themes include trade, technology, art and design, crime and security, housing, health and social welfare and money.
Exhibits include the oldest Scottish bank note and the first Halifax mortgage certificate as well as an interactive game featuring 19th century travel and medical conditions and a series of interactive maps showing the development of Edinburgh’s Old Town from 1647 onwards.
