Merlin Entertainments has continued its policy to turn its major attractions into multi-day features by debuting its new Legoland Hotel at Legoland Florida.

The multi-coloured exterior and entrance, conceptualised by Merlin’s Magic Making team, is the gateway to 152 Lego-themed rooms and suites, interactive play areas, a pool and a restaurant. The hotel features suites across four themes – Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure and Lego Friends.

Each room can sleep up to five people, with space for two adults and three children. VIP Suites feature a king bed, living room, pull out sofa, kids’ play area and three flat panel TVs. Suites can sleep up to nine. All rooms and suites feature Lego models and a Lego-filled treasure chest, which can be unlocked by completing a hotel scavenger hunt.

This is the fifth Legoland hotel to be developed, with existing hotels at Merlin’s Lego parks in California, Windsor, Billund and Malaysia.

Included with the other amenities is the Master Model Builder Workshop, the first to be built inside a Legoland hotel. In the workshop, master builders will host daily building sessions for hotel guests, showing them some of the best and most artistic ways to build with Lego.

“Legoland Florida Resort is continuously expanding, making it an awesome place for families with children to stay for multiple days. The addition of Legoland Hotel makes that possible,” said Adrian Jones, general manager of Legoland Florida. “The hotel is a fully immersive experience, with a number of exclusive features unique to Legoland Florida. We’re excited to welcome families to stay and play with us for the first time in Florida.”
