The House of Commons Commission has confirmed that the clock tower housing Big Ben in London will be renamed Elizabeth Tower in recognition of Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The commission has revealed that the tower - first called King's Tower after William IV, before it was renamed after Queen Victoria - will adopt its new name "in due course".
Members of the public can attend a tour of the landmark tower, which includes the mechanism room, by arrangement through local MPs or a member of the House of Lords.
