The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has given the thumbs up to early work on the London Olympic Games plans after a three-day inspection visit.
A team led by IOC chair Denis Oswald heard from the chair of the London organising committee (LOCOG), Sebastian Coe, and its chief executive, Paul Deighton, about progress with the early plans for the Games.
They also visited the site of the Olympic Park in East London. Oswald said: “The way the London team has been thinking about all aspects of Games preparation and planning has been encouraging.”
