Texas-based rides company Larson International has bought Sellner Manufacturing of Faribault, Minnesota for an undisclosed sum.
Except for the building, Larson acquired everything from the Minnesota factory including ride plans, moulds, computers, office furniture, equipment and machines.
Sellner was founded in 1923 and although it produced a number of rides and attractions, it gained world-wide attention with the introduction of the Tilt-a-Whirl in 1926. More than 900 units were produced during its 88-year history.
Larson has also acquired the Sellner name and plans to keep it on the Sellner products.
A spokesperson for Larson said: "We are very excited about this, it gives us wonderful opportunities."
The company plans to exhibit at the International Independent Showmen Association's trade show in Gibsonton, Florida in February, showing equipment from both Larson and Sellner.
