LA Galaxy and Universal announce exclusive theme park partnership

Debuting tomorrow (17 June), when LA Galaxy meet Houston Dynamo, the Universal globe will remain a permanent fixture for the length of the partnership
Major League Soccer (MLS) team Los Angeles Galaxy has announced an exclusive theme park partnership with Universal Studios Hollywood, with the two brands working together to cross-promote various ventures.

As a founding partner of Galaxy stadium the StubHub Center, Universal’s iconic globe will be featured at the top of the stadium’s video display board at the south end of the 27,000-seat ground.

Debuting tomorrow (17 June), when LA Galaxy meet Houston Dynamo, the globe will remain a permanent fixture for the length of the partnership.

“Bringing together two internationally recognisable brands such as the LA Galaxy and Universal Studios Hollywood is the perfect partnership to promote the excitement, family atmosphere, and entertainment that we create for Galaxy fans at StubHub Center,” said LA Galaxy president Chris Klein. “We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the guest experience and this partnership will help to raise the bar even higher.”

As part of the partnership, Universal Studios Hollywood, the LA Galaxy and the StubHub Center will carry out a variety of cross-promotional content across both social and digital media platforms in addition to a range of in-stadium signage.

“As a global entertainment destination, we continually seek opportunities to showcase our exciting rides and attractions,” said David Miller, SVP of Brand Marketing at Universal Studios Hollywood. “This unique partnership with the LA Galaxy and StubHub Center is indicative of our mutual brands’ commitment to providing unrivalled entertainment options for our thrill seeking guests.”
