New Texas Spa by JW developed with Aromatherapy Associates
POSTED 21 Sep 2016 . BY Jane Kitchen
The spa includes nine treatment rooms and will offer massages, nail treatments Express Spa Suites and HydraFacial services
The JW Marriott Austin has opened a new Spa by JW, with a concept designed to demystify and reimagine the spa experience.

The Texas hotel’s spa was developed in collaboration with skincare brand Aromatherapy Associates, and includes treatments and products to address four core benefit states: Calm, Indulge, Invigorate and Renew.

The spa includes nine treatment rooms and will offer massages, nail treatments Express Spa Suites and HydraFacial services.

“Our guests are incredibly passionate about wellbeing but they don’t always have the time to invest in cultivating it,” said Mitzi Gaskins, vice president of global brand management and guest experience for JW Marriott. “They are looking for an experience that delivers true impact and results that are tailored to their state of mind. Spa by JW offers an environment where you can choose exactly what you want, when you want, without any of the intimidation or hassle.”

Calm treatments are designed to offer guests a moment of serenity and a chance to slow down and restore balance, while Indulge treatments offer pampering through therapeutic treatments. Invigorate treatments, such as a Jet Lag Cure or Energy Boost massage, are designed to enliven the body and mind, and Renew treatments aim to purify the mind and body so guests feel more centred.

Designed for guests who have limited time, Spa by JW express treatments provide on-demand services that start at a 12-minute entry point and are bookable without an appointment.

The express spa suites are designed around a massage chair that features embedded scent infusers, noise-cancelling technology and cell phone charging stations.

Treatments include a variety of 12- to 25-minute services such as the Relaxing Scalp Massage (Calm), Hydrating Hands (Indulge), Energy Boost Massage (Invigorate), and Nail Shine (Renew).

The spa also features a wide range of full-service treatments, including locally inspired offerings, such as a Bourbon Brown Sugar Scrub or a Bourbon Cowgirl/Cowboy Pedicure.

The 1,012-bedroom JW Marriott Austin opened in February 2015.
