US-based property investor JMA Ventures has pulled out of a deal to acquire the Great America theme park in California from theme park operator Cedar Fair.
JMA had agreed terms for the attraction with Cedar Fair on 16 September but in a short statement, Cedar Fair announced that the deal was off.
A spokesperson added that the termination of the sale "does not alter the company's financial expectations" and that the group was on course to achieve adjusted EBITDA between US$365m (£234m, €276m) and US$375m (€283m, £240m) in 2011.
Cedar Fair currently owns and operates 11 amusement parks, six outdoor water parks, one indoor water park and five hotels - all in the US.
