Following great success at IAAPA 2014 with its Justice League animatronic reveal, the Sally Corporation has followed suit at this year’s event in Orlando, offering a sneak peek at its brand new Walking Dead attraction.

Licensed to Sally by AMC on the back of the success for the critically-acclaimed Justice League ride, which opened at Six Flags over Texas in May, the new attraction will offer the first officially licensed Walking Dead ride by AMC.

Working in partnership with AMC and Striker Entertainment, “Walking Dead: Battle For Survival” takes the form of a world-first immersive dark ride based on the award-winning television series. According to Sally, the ride will feature interactivity, motion-based ride vehicles, media-based scenes using large CG projection screens, detailed theming and 4D special effects to immerse guests in the world of the Walking Dead.

Showcasing the attraction at IAAPA, Sally had the first animatronic walker (zombie), which was prominently displayed on the trade show floor attracting interest from many in attendance.

No location has been set yet for the ride but a Sally representative told Attractions Management that the company are in the midst of finalising a deal to give the attraction a home in a major theme park. The ride design is already complete and can be rolled out across multiple attractions.
