Holiday World to open new $9m ride in 2012

Wildebeest, the longest water coaster in the world
Holiday World and Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, US announce details of its new $9m (6.3m euro, £5.8m) ride at an event on 3 August.

The new attraction will open in time for the park's 2012 season with construction set to begin on 8 August.

The park is currently the home of the world's tallest water ride, Pilgrim' Plunge, as well as the world's longest water coaster, Wildebeest.
