The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum & Entertainment Complex planned for New York City, US, has received a US$10m funding boost.
The funding package for the project was put together by Atlanta-based Jackson Securities & Investment Bankers and was supported by various investment groups, celebrities, athletes and corporate partners.
The Hip Hop Hall of Fame (HHHOF) has two arms, the non-profit HHHOF Museum Foundation, which will oversee the museum, exhibits and community outreach programmes and the for-profit HHHOF Global Media Group, which will operate the restaurant, gift shop, concert lounge, TV studios and merchandising.
The museum is scheduled to open late next year.
