Les Mills and Alliance join forces to drive exercise participation
POSTED 14 Sep 2017 . BY Deven Pamben
Les Mills UK’s immersive cycling experience, the Trip, features in Salt Ayre Sports Centre
Leisure development company Alliance Leisure and group exercise specialist Les Mills UK are working together in partnership to help operators install facilities that can help drive participation in communal physical activity.

By combining their expertise and research, the two companies are focused on adopting a holistic approach to facility development, providing solutions for both the physical building and studio programming to help motivate users.

Les Mills UK’s immersive cycling experience, the Trip, which combines AV, lighting and full screen projection, features in Alliance’s £5m (US$6.6m, €5.5m) redevelopment of Salt Ayre Sports Centre in Lancaster, Lancashire.

The two companies now plan to collaborate with each other on other projects.

Alliance Leisure is working on a number of developments under the UK Leisure Framework, which is designed to make public sector facilities more efficient and affordable.

“Partnering with Les Mills allows us to offer operators the latest solutions in facility development and group fitness, which will help them to attract new markets and widen participation,” said James Foley, commercial director of Alliance Leisure.

Aimee Barry, business development director at Les Mills UK, said: “With more facilities understanding the importance of group exercise, innovation and design our partnership will provide an easy framework to help deliver inspiring spaces which motivate members to keep coming back.”
