The Fossil Grove visitor attraction in Victoria Park, Glasgow, has reopened after having a number of new exhibits added during its winter closure.
The site, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), has a range of new interpretation panels explaining the history of the site and importance of fossils, while a new tank housing live insects has been added to help illustrate the creatures alive 300 million years ago - known as the carboniferous period.
The investments were funded in partnership by Fossil Grove Trust and Glasgow City Council's Parks Development programme.
