Northumberland National Park Authority has received £50,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to test the feasibility of a major visitor and educational centre near Hadrian’s Wall.
The proposed attraction – called The Sill – would offer outdoor activities promoting mind, body, nature and science and a hub for learning about the ecology, landscape and heritage of the area and its Roman past.
The outcome of the study is expected in mid-2008.
