The ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington, Vermont, US, is to be expanded to enhance the visitor experience.
The recently launched Little Fund initiative has raised CAN$1.5m (£870,000, 960,000 euro, US$1.4m) towards new exhibits and interactive spaces.
During phase one, new Lake Science Teaching Labs will be built, while the Discovery Place will be reconstructed to cater for pre-school visitors. Education programmes aimed at underserved populations and elementary school children will also be established.
