Details of the The Marvel Experience domed complex tour unveiled
POSTED 05 Feb 2014 . BY Martin Nash
From the outside, the six-storey high Marvel Experience resembles a temporary S.H.I.E.L.D. installation or 'Mobile Command Center'
Entertainment experience company Hero Ventures has unveiled details of the design of 'The Marvel Experience' domed complex set to tour cities across the USA and Canada in 2014.

Covering a 2-acre footprint of more than 80,000sq ft (7,430sq m), the state-of-the-art, custom built multi-dome complex is reported to be the first time a venue of its type, size and scope has been used for a mobile tour.

From the outside, the six-storey high Marvel Experience resembles a temporary S.H.I.E.L.D. installation or 'Mobile Command Centre'.

Inside, a maze of connected Domes will lead guests through an array of interactive games and original animated short films associated with the Marvel Super Hero family, including - amongst others - Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Thor, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Wolverine and The Avengers.

The project was designed by a team which included noted concept artist, Aaron Sims, who art directed the illustration. It was Sims who brought Marvel characters to life through his work on numerous feature films including, Marvel's The Incredible Hulk, Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man, and Fox's X-Men: First Class.

Rick Licht, CEO at Hero Ventures said: "The Marvel Experience and our innovative Dome environment is the future of themed entertainment."

Doug Schaer, Hero Ventures' chief operating officer added: "The Domes are central to the story line that pulses through The Marvel Experience and are enhanced by state-of-the-art design applications and graphic elements.

"The interior will feature an exaggerated comic-style utilising projected high-tech imagery, amazing fabricated set pieces and virtual simulations to advance the story. Our guests will be interacting directly with multiple Marvel Super Heroes, as well as members of S.H.I.E.L.D., as they take their place in the Marvel Universe".

Hero Ventures develops and produces live entertainment experiences designed to engage consumers through immersive innovation into worlds of iconic intellectual properties. The Marvel Experience is its inaugural production.
