Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania, US, will reopen its Dinosaur Hall as Dinosaurs in their World in late 2007.
The refurbished exhibit proposes to better illustrate the diversity of Mesozoic life by placing cleaned and remounted dinosaurs – by Phil Fraley Productions in Hoboken, New Jersey – in dramatic but scientifically accurate poses amid hundreds of plant and animal species which shared their environment.
In the meantime, a small dinosaur exhibit called The Supporting Cast has been installed in the RP Simmons Family Gallery. It will feature a new dinosaur to the museum called the Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis (‘thick-headed lizard’). Details: www.carnegiemnh.org
