YTL Hotels & Properties has opened a luxury Spa Village as part of its new Cameron Highlands Resort in Tanah Rata, central Malaysia.

The wellness centre features six treatment rooms and a relaxation room while spa therapies will include Fresh Strawberries Escape, Avocado and chrysanthemum and Cameron's Mint.

Treatments have been inspired by the healing properties of locally grown tea and blend Western techniques with Eastern ingredients. The signature treatment of the spa will be a Tea Bath Ritual.

Designed by a local architect, guided by YTL's US-based spa consultancy, Sylvia Planning and Design, Cameron Highlands new centre is the third Spa Village to open in the region following the flagship village at Pangkor Laut four years ago and another resort in Kuala Lumpur.
