Belem Cultural Centre in Lisbon, Portugal, reportedly plans to display the country’s biggest collection of 20th Century modern and contemporary art.
The 4,000-piece collection includes 900 works of modern and contemporary art and is owned by Madeira-born entrepreneur Joe Berardo.
The new display is the result of a 10-year accord between the tycoon and the government to gather the collection, which is currently scattered throughout the country, for presentation in one institution. Details: www.ccb.pt/ccb
