The recently-transformed Bamford Wellness Spa in Gloucestershire has been recognised as the UK’s Best New Spa at the sixth annual Good Spa Guide Awards ceremony.

Decided by internal judging by The Good Spa Guide’s Spa Spies, the Gloucestershire spa was chosen for its “carefully curated treatments, holistic movement classes, workshops, exceptional staff and imaginative design”.

Click here to check out Spa Business’ recent feature exploring the spa’s new look and what inspired its inception, according to founder Lady Carole Bamford.

Hosted live today in London, the awards also saw eight other UK spas receive accolades, decided by a consumer survey hosted in early November.

Below is a comprehensive list of the 2021 Regional Award Winners:
The Best Spa in The East Midlands and East: Ragdale Hall Spa, Leicestershire.
The Best Spa in London: Bvlgari Spa, London.
The Best Spa in The North East sponsored by GAIA Skincare: Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall, County Durham.
The Best Spa in The North West sponsored by Million Dollar Facial: The Woodland Spa, Lancashire.
The Best Spa in Scotland sponsored by Natura Bissé: Fairmont St Andrews Spa, Fife.
The Best Spa in The South East: Aqua Sana Woburn Forest, Bedfordshire.
The Best Spa in The South West and The Channel Islands: Aqua Sana Longleat Forest, Wiltshire.
The Best Spa in The West Midlands and Wales: Hoar Cross Hall Spa, Staffordshire.

"We've seen a real appetite for readers to get behind their favourite spas this year, receiving over 110,000 votes in a very short period of time,” said Caitlin Dalton, Good Spa Guide editor, speaking exclusively to Spa Business.

“This just goes to show how resilient the spa industry is in the face of adversity, and how well it is likely to fare in the future."

The Good Spa Guide runs two annual award ceremonies; The Good Spa Guide Regional Awards and The Good Spa Guide Reader’s Choice National Awards.
