Alton Towers to launch three 80s-themed Retro Squad rides when park opens

The three "Retro Squad" rides will be themed according to 80s designs
Flat rides will be located in different areas of the park
Alton Towers says retro experiences are different to anything they offer in the theme park
Alton Towers theme park in the UK will offer visitors the opportunity to indulge in some 80s nostalgia when it launches three "retro" rides this month.
Collectively known as the "The Retro Squad", the trio of pop-up rides are called Roller Disco, Mixtape and Funk'n'fly and will be available to guests when the park reopens to the public on 12 April.
The three are different types of flat rides, with the Roller Disco located in the park's Dark Forest area, the Mixtape in the X-Sector and the Funl'n'Fly in the Forbidden Valley.

Francis Jackson, General Manager at Alton Towers Resort, said: “The new retro experiences are different to anything we offer in the theme park.
"We have introduced a series of new outdoor attractions which are included in the price of a theme park ticket offering guests a nostalgic spin-back to the 80s, which provides an exciting addition which we’re sure our guests will love."
