Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has agreed a three-year funding programme with the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) to help protect and provide access to the country’s special wildlife and landscapes.
The £2.9m grant will fund a wide range of work including the management of 40 countryside properties and paths as well as the development of interpretation and education projects.
The NTS owns and manages around 78,000 hectares of Scottish land including the National Nature Reserves – a World Heritage Site – and significant elements of Scotland’s two National parks.
