ETC London became the first company to project video onto the 351ft high Shell Centre on London's South Bank, in an event marking the reopening of the Science Museum's Launchpad gallery, sponsored by Shell UK Limited.
The large format projection was a combination of video and PIGI projection, with live sessions of Launchball a popular multi-level online game available from the Science Museum’s website.
This was played on a PC set up in the projection area and projected into a giant 40m X 30m mask on the building.
The mask was created by the PIGI projectors, and the game - via video projection - was beamed into this space.
Eight Christie 20K projectors were used for the video element, two covering each quarter of the projection area, with control by ETC's OnlyView proprietary software.
The six PIGI 6Kw projectors were operated via an OnlyCue system, with three of them covering the top half of the building and the other three the bottom.
They also produced a series of three layered scrolling text statements that functioned in conjunction with the Launchball game and as stand- alone text messages covering the building.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
