Sky Sled has opened at four Six Flags properties |
|
Skycoaster, a division of Ride Entertainment, has installed its innovative Sky Sled ride at four key properties in the Six Flags portfolio, including Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags over Texas, Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Mexico.
Designed to offer a thrilling flying experience, replicating the sensation of a cliff dive or parachute jump. The ride boasts a unique harness which holds guests in an upright seated position. The harness is winched to the very top of the Launch Tower, and gives riders far-reaching views of their surroundings, before a ripcord is pulled, sending them on an exhilirating flight.
The Sky Sled, which was in developement for five years, is the culmination of a significant period of re-investment in the Skycoaster brand, which over the past decade has undergone a series of improvements including a redesign of the ride's structure and a partnership with KCL Engineering to offer a programmable LED lighting solution.
Lance Beatty, MD at Skycoaster, said: "Last year, Six Flags had told us they wanted to be the first theme park to premier the new Sky Sled. We were happy to oblige as they have been a fantastic partner for decades. Today, to see a Skycoaster at nearly every Six Flags property is truly incredible."

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |
|
The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
