A radio networked fire alarm system from Chubb Fire will soon protect Legoland, the world famous theme park that attracts more than one million visitors each year.
Chubb has been servicing the extinguishers at the Berkshire-based attraction for three years, and was invited to tender for both a park-wide alarm system and a specific fire detection and suppression system for Legoland’s latest feature, ‘Laser Raiders’ in the new land called ‘Kingdom of the Pharoahs’.
The new fire alarm system that Chubb Fire designed and installed uses radio waves to relay fire and fault indications to the on-site security control room, immediately reporting any incidents to park security officers.
Wireless technology significantly reduces the capital costs and disruption of installing a fire detection system, and does not compromise safety.
