Spanish visitor attraction operator Aspro has reported a 13 per cent increase in revenue for the year 2007-08 financial year.
The group attributed the growth to the acquisition of new centres during the 2008 season, the strong performance by the Group’s aquaria and also the favourable weather conditions in Spain and France during the peak months of the summer season.
During 2008 Aspro acquired Blue Reef Leisure – which operates four aquariums in the UK – and Oakwood Theme Park in Wales; and the Deltapark Neeltje Jans, in the Netherlands.
Aspro attracts more than 8 million visitors to its sites, located in eight European countries (Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Holland and Finland), each year.
