Adaland Aquapark in Kusadasi, Turkey, has added a 30,000sq m Safari Park-themed area including a new ocean pool and a 600m rafting river lined with model crocodiles and rhinos.
The $2m addition to the previously 100,000sq m waterpark also includes a new kiddies pool, diving board pool and spa pool as well as a fast food outlet.
The park is situated on a hill overlooking the beach and Kusadasi port. It offers 12 water slides, an activity pool, lazy river, spa pool, wave pool and bumper boats as well as rodeo, splash football, beach volleyball, bowlingo and regular shows in an amphitheatre.
The Safari Park section opens to the public on 10 June.
A spokesperson for the park said: “This new project is the first in the region and we are planning to make Adaland Aquapark one of the largest parks in the world.”
The company owns a total of 300,000sq m of land in the area and plans to build a sunken submarine and a theme park alongside the waterpark in the future. Details: www.adaland.com
