GLL signs three-year training deal with Future Fit
POSTED 22 Dec 2016 . BY Deven Pamben
GLL and Future Fit have signed a three-year training deal
Future Fit Training has teamed up with Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) in a three-year deal to become the operator's exclusive health and fitness staff training partner.

Future Fit will be providing courses on areas that include pre and post-natal exercise, nutrition for weight management and exercise for older adults.

The partnership means consistent training will be given to all of GLL’s health and fitness staff at the 200 leisure facilities it operates across the UK. Training will initially focus on fitness instructors and fitness class instructors but will then be rolled out to supervisors, service managers and general managers.

Training will take place ‘in centre’ with some elements of e-learning.

Courses will accredited by the Chartered Institute for Sport and Physical Activity, while nutrition courses will also be accredited by the Association for Nutrition.

Gym members will be offered 10 per cent discounts on health and fitness-related courses, including personal training and gym instructor qualifications.

Mac Cleves, GLL college head, said: “We are confident that this new and exciting partnership will improve the training provision we are able to give to our staff, while also expanding the opportunities available to our members, users and wider communities.

“Not only will it ensure consistency and increased quality across the organisation, but it will also enable us to diversify the training we are able to provide to our fitness instructors; equipping them with multiple skills that will allow them to deliver a more comprehensive offering to our customers.”

This year, Future Fit Training won the ukactive training award for ‘Training Provider of the Year’, while GLL won the award for ‘Employer of the Year’.
