Lake Austin Spa Resort in Texas has named Janis Clapoff as managing director to the destination spa in Austin, Texas.

In her new position, Clapoff oversees all aspects of the daily operation of the 40-bedroom resort as well as the 25,000-square foot LakeHouse Spa.

Clapoff has extensive experience in hospitality management, including at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Ojai, California; the Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii; the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California; the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara and the Sheraton Park Avenue in New York City.

“Janis brings a wealth of talent and expertise to our spa resort,” said Mike McAdams, co-owner of Lake Austin Spa Resort. “She will become a huge asset to our team and will assist in further enhancing the quality and excellence that our property is known for.”

The award-winning spa resort is located on the shores of Lake Austin in the scenic Texas Hill Country, and features stylish interiors, an on-site organic garden that provides ingredients for the resort’s healthy spa cuisine, as well as local and global inspired spa services in the LakeHouse Spa and up to 20 fitness classes and activities daily.
