Scott Day – founder and chair of medi-spa consultancy MedSurge Advances – has announced plans to launch a range of new health and wellness centres called Futureperfect across the US this year.

Each centre will combine fat-burning and body-sculpting techniques with nutritional guidance and physician oversight and will be marketed as a traditional alternative to health clubs.

Day said: “It’s a new concept we call a fitness spa or fitspa – an evolution of the medical spa that provides women with an alternative method for staying in shape.”
