The £62m Dickens World visitor complex at Chatham Maritime in Kent, UK will open to the public on 20 April.
The 4-acre (1.6-hectare) visitor attraction will feature the life, work and times of famed British author, Charles Dickens.
It will comprise The Haunted House of Ebeneezer Scrooge; a soft play area for children called Fagins Den; and a Great Expectations 210m (689ft) dry and wet boat ride transporting visitors from the London sewers, through the streets of Victorian England, before ending in a flight across the rooftops of London.
Additional features include a 4D Peggoty’s Boat House show featuring Dicken’s world travels; an 1832 school room from Nicholas Nickleby called Dotheboys’ Hall; and Newgate Prison, which will inform visitors of Victorian crime and punishment.
The attraction will also have an Old Curiosity Shoppe and a themed restaurant/café.
