Rosco's X-Effects motion effects lighting fixture is being used at a Danish museum to transport visitors back 10 million years.
The GeoCenter Moens Klint - located on the island of Møn - tells the story of the Cliffs of Møn, standing over 100m high on the island’s east coast and one of Europe’s most fascinating geological features.
Consultants to the project were Cowi A/S and they had the task of making visitors walking through a 10m x 30m room feel as if they were under the sea. The company was also asked to create a moving planet Earth effect to tie in with a video presentation.
Lighting designer Joergen Kjer used a total of seven X-Effects units, five for the water effect and two for the earth.
Controlled via DMX from an EQ lighting console, the fixtures are hung from the ceiling and in use for ten hours every day.
Elsewhere in Denmark, X-Effects technology has also been used to create a moving clouds effect at a museum in Copenhagen and Rosco is hopeful of it being installed at a new sailing ships exhibition north of Jutland.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring

generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
