The Funride 30 was launched at an event at the company's new 'Manufactory' |
|
Motion simulator specialist Simtec has expanded its range of Funride product with the launch of the Funride 30.
The ride, which was developed for a customer in Qatar, is the first new product developed and manufactered in the company's new 'Manufactory', which opened in Braunschweig, Germany, earlier this year.
It is designed to seat 30 guests and consists of an enclosed cabin set atop a Simtec six degrees of freedom (DOF) hydraulic motion system. 3D projected displays and special effects, such as wind, water and scent, complete the ride and will offer immersive experiences to guests.
To celebrate the launch of the Funride 30, Simtec held an event for partners and suppliers at the new Manufactory. The event included a presentation and refreshments and gave guests the opportunity to trial the ride and see the new space. With more than 5,500 sq m (59,000 sq ft) of assembly and test space, the Manufactory is purpose built to create, manufacture, test and install bigger systems to meet customer's needs.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |
|
The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
