Located on the Whitby headland, the dramatic abbey is an iconic landmark that inspired the setting for Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as provided inspiration for other literary icons including Lewis Carroll, JWM Turner and Caedmon.
Working closely with London-based design firm Drinkall Dean, Marcon were responsible for completing the detail development, manufacture and delivery of the museum's visitor centre, which will include graphics, AV hardware and the co-ordination of all work-packages.
Mark O'Connor, director of Marcon, says: "The sheer variety of projects within the heritage fit-out sector makes it a challenge and really enjoyable industry to work in."
"Securing our first project with English Heritage is a significant milestone for the company and we are looking forward to working with the entire project team to complete the new exhibition at Whitby Abbey."

attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |
