Warner Village Theme Parks in Australia is to open a new multi-million dollar attraction at its Wet'n'Wild water park this month.
Kamikaze will be a combination wet/dry attraction where water spray jets provide a frictionless surface on a giant U-shaped slide as rafts are channelled to the bottom.
Riders will plunge down a sheer 11m drop at an angle of 70 degrees reaching speeds of up to 50km/h as they fly in forward and reverse motions in an 'extreme thrill experience including a zero gravity sensation'.
Warner Village Theme Parks chief executive officer, John Menzies, said that the new attraction was 'on the cutting edge of innovation and design'.
"We expect this new attraction to be a big hit with our thrill seeking teens and adventurous families," he said.
"It's an extremely unique attraction and the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere. We ask guests 'Ride if you dare!' - it's going to be one of those rides that keep you coming back for more."
